The Jinqiao School Group operates multiple branches which serve more than 10,000 kindergarten and primary-school students annually, as well as 2,000 teachers in a training program. This program provides a comparison of urban and rural healthcare practices in Ecuador by splitting interns’ time between the coastal metropolis of Guayaquil and the smaller town of Puyo on the edge of the Amazon Basin. Interns will rotate through a variety of clinics and hospitals, as well as participating in home visits, encouraging a comprehensive view of care in each area.
