Save Elephant Foundation increases awareness about the endangered Asian elephant, educates locals on the humane treatment of their elephants, and provides sanctuary for rescued elephants at their nature park. Gain valuable experience by conducting promotional work, traveling to villages to help educate, and assisting in the management of eco-tourism groups, conservation events, and planning. There is also a need for marketing and public relations efforts.

Interns work at the Save Elephant Foundation (SEF) offices in Chiang Mai, Thailand on a variety of projects. Interns also have the opportunity to spend time at SEF’s Elephant Nature Park outside of Chiang Mai, where they work with guests, other volunteers, and may have the opportunity to interact with the elephants. Opportunities to support other projects may also be possible depending on student interests and experience.

Duration of Internship:

  • 10-24 weeks.  Minimum of 12 weeks preferred.
