Like many of our peer organizations, we’ve had to make decisions about our upcoming summer and fall in-person internship program options. In short:
Summer suspension
IE3 Global, in conjunction with our home institution, Oregon State University, has decided to suspend all in-person internship programs with start dates in May through August. IE3 Global has notified all students accepted for summer programs that their programs have been suspended and given options to defer to a later term, or withdraw the application.
Fall application deadline and program statuses
We are optimistic for viable fall internship programs with departures in September or October, and have extended our deadline from April 15 to May 31. Decisions on specific regions and programs will be made based on thorough assessments regarding health and safety. Likewise, we are aware that some countries have travel restrictions barring entry of non-residents during that departure window.
Program updates will be reflected on our website program pages, but are subject to change. As everyone is trying to plan amidst a great deal of ambiguity, we will do our best to protect students’ financial obligations until we set a definite program departure date.
