- Marketing: increasing, monitoring and analyzing social media coverage, seeking, and approaching new markets, collecting marketing material (blog writing, pictures, video editing etc.)
- Sales: handling enquiries from clients and customers, producing quotes, providing support and assistance throughout the sales process

Interns will not only be able to practice the skills they have developed during their academic studies but will also be able to gain new skills depending on the internship that they are doing. The internships that InternChina provides not only give interns the opportunity to expand their professional skillset and knowledge of international business, but also the opportunity to grow in confidence, acquire a cross-cultural understanding, and test their soft skills such as independence, leadership, time management, organization, critical thinking, and listening.
Students from all academic fields and backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Specific requirements and experience will be determined by the company and the certain roles to be undertaken.
All interns are expected to possess good communication and teamwork skills as well as an enthusiasm to learn, be proactive, and ask questions. Relevant experience in the field of interest is strongly encouraged but not always required. Additional documentation such as portfolios or references may be requested for specific positions.
All interns will work with an English-speaking supervisor and as such interns must possess fluent English language skills. Other language requirements vary from company to company depending on the company's business needs and main markets. Mandarin is sometimes required and often considered an asset; so too are other European and South American languages such as French, German, and Spanish.
Interns will be expected to come to China with their own working laptop. Other software for specific use will likely be provided by the host company if required for their projects. Companies will notify the intern prior to their internship if any other equipment is necessary.
