Join a vibrant international community of learners near Chiang Mai, Thailand, and support an amazing sustainable farm. This is a great chance to learn new techniques and improve your farming/gardening skills, learning about permaculture, and share your knowledge of farming techniques. Interns are able to support farm development, farm animal care (goats and hens especially), or farm education programming.
The Traidhos Farm is part of the larger Three Generation Community for Learning, which includes the PTIS International School (Prem), three sport academies, six different types of specialty programs for students, an artist residency program, a cooking academy, a guesthouse and spa, and corporate event programs.
Part of the Traidhos Three Generation Community for Learning, the Traidhos Farm is a small educational farm used by children attending Prem International School and students on fieldtrip programs through the Traidhos Visiting School Program and Camp Programs. It is set up to showcase different farming techniques and how all parts are connected to the same zero-waste system, as the facility seeks to be truly sustainable. Participants are encouraged to engage with the natural world while learning new skills and knowledge through fun, sustainability-focused activities. The farm is able to incorporate information about horticulture, permaculture, soil science, water management, nutrition, local knowledge, Thai culture and cuisine, ecosystems, and animal science. The farm is home to variety of animals including goats, hens, rabbits, water buffalo, pigs, and crickets.
The Traidhos Three Generation Community for Learning is an educational center located in Thailand, with their main facility near Chiang Mai and programs operating near Bangkok. They are an international community of learners, across all generations, working together for a sustainable future. Students and adults from around the world come to Chiang Mai and Bangkok to participate in short and long term programs in education, sustainability, leadership, sports, culture, and well-being. Each part of the Traidhos Three Generation Community has its own customer group but in addition to this, each part works with students and teachers of Prem International School to offer specialist learning opportunities outside of the classroom as part of the on-going curriculum. For more information, visit the Traidhos website.
