Join a dedicated clinic team on the island of Rarotonga in the Pacific to help treat dogs and cats while supporting the community at large with the Esther Honey Foundation (EHF). Since opening the Cook Islands’ first and only veterinary clinic in 1995, EHF has helped treat more than 37,000 animals and sterilized more than 14,500 animals with the help of veterinarians, technologists, volunteers, and animal enthusiasts who travel to the islands.

EHF’s purpose is to improve the health conditions of companion animals on the Cook Islands by providing, on a continuing basis, a veterinarian and vet technicians in order to treat more than 3,000 animals annually. Vet tech interns assist the veterinarian with animal treatment procedures, including surgical preparation, monitoring anesthesia, cleaning and sterilizing instrument packs. Interns will also help with administrative tasks, general facility care, events, and community education. Interns must have a desire to work with animals!
