ACOSVO (The Association of Chief Officers of Scottish Voluntary Organizations) is a unique forum for chief officers in the voluntary sector in Scotland, which promotes excellence in leadership and management.
An increasingly successful, dynamic and professional third sector, led by Chief Officers who are supported, enabled and equipped to maximize their use of resources and inspired to deliver their agendas in effective, creative ways.
ACOSVO is a unique forum for Chief Officers in the Voluntary sector in Scotland, which promotes excellence in leadership and management. We provide professional development opportunities, through a range of services and activities, to a diverse association membership across Scotland. We form a combined voice on matters of senior management and governance in the voluntary sector and are guided by our members to influence change where required. We are member ‐ led in our management through our Board and in our practice through ongoing dialogue and consultation directly with them.
We are based in central Edinburgh in an open plan, modern office that is a base for a wide range of charities and social enterprises. We also hold events across Scotland on a range of topics. We have been in existence since September 2000 and now have over 300 members across Scotland. This year we ranover 50 events, including master ‐ classes, networking events, discussion dinners, conferences and seminars. We are a strategic partner of the Scottish government and are pivotal in influencing policy and building links between key players in the sector and policy ‐ makers in the government.
